Victorian Brassbound Walnut Writing Slope.
A superb example of a Victorian brassbound walnut Campaign style writing slope. The writing slope dates back to c.1880, it’s is in a beautiful piece of walnut with brass bindings to the corners and a brass top and key escutcheon complete with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
Open the box to reveal a red releathered writing surface with space to the underneath for paperwork and more space to the back of the inside lid.
The box has two sections for inkwells, a nib slope and a pen slope with section underneath.
Superb quality and condition measuring 35.5 x 23 and stands 15cm high.
