William IV Rosewood Sarcophagus Box.
A fine example of a William IV Rosewood sarcophagus jewellery box with decorative mother of pearl inlaid to the top and the front.
The box dates back to c.1830, it sits on four feet with a bevelled border to the top, it features a fully working lock and tasselled key. It houses it’s original tray, we have relined the interior with handcrafted marble paper.
A beautiful little jewellery box and a fine piece of rosewood.
The box measures 28 x 20 and stands 13cm high.
