Victorian Tunbridge Ware Inlaid Walnut Jewellery Box.
A striking example of a walnut box dating back to c.1860.
The box has an envelope shaped top. It Features beautiful decorative inlaid Tunbridge Ware bands with wonderful colours and detail running down the centre and front. The centre of the box has a beautiful brass and Tunbridge Ware inlaid top and key escutcheon to the centre.
The box is complete with a working lock and key.
Open the box to reveal the original tray and original red quilted satin to the back of the inside lid. We have professionally relined the rest of the interior with handcrafted marble paper.
A beautiful piece of walnut.
