This is a Georgian c.1810 hand painted papier-mâché table snuff box. The box measures: 10cm by 10cm and stands 2cm in height. On the front there appears to be a painted picture of a man declaring his love to a lady or proposing in front of one man playing the flute and the other smoking a pipe, there’s a dog looking up at the couple and a cow in the background it looks like they could be in a barn. The picture is in good condition but there is piece missing that runs along the inside of the lid but this does not affect the box being able to close.
