Victorian Walnut Writing Slope.
A superb example of a Victorian Walnut Writing slope dating back to c.1870. The writing slope is brass inlaid with two brass inlaid borders to the top and front and a brass top (make it personal and add an engraving) and key escutcheon and a fully working lock and tasselled key.
Open the box to reveal a ebonised interior with a red releathered writing surface, a pen slope with section underneath, a nib slope, ink section with original inkwell.
There is a section to the underneath for paperwork and a section behind the inside lid for stationary.
A superb piece of walnut in wonderful condition.
It measures 30 x 23 and stands 15cm high.
