Victorian Burr Walnut Writing Slope Featuring Stunning Mother Of Pearl and Abalone Inlay.
An exceptional example of a Victorian Burr Walnut Wring slope dating back to c.1880. The slope features a beautiful mother of pearl and abalone inlaid design to the top and front of the box with matching top and key escutcheons.Unfortunately it doesn’t come with a working lock and key.
A nib slope, pen slope and two spaces to house inkwells. With a green leather writing surface and space to the back of the inside lid for paper work the box also features space to the underneath with two secret drawers which work by pulling the divider up next to the nib slope.
An outstanding box in superb quality and condition measuring 35 x25 and stands 15cm high.
