Victorian Italian  Sorento ware single tea caddy.

A striking unusual Italian Sorento ware single tea caddy with wonderful marquetry vinaigrettes on each panel with micro mosaic inlay all around the outside , dating back to c.1850.  The box has cut corners, the main wood is Olive wood and  ebonised olive wood, the interior features a single lid to the inside.

It has a fully working lock and tasselled key.

14 x 12 and stands 11cm high.
