Victorian Walnut Jewellery Box.
A wonderful example of a Victorian jewellery box in a superb piece of walnut, dating back to c.1840. The box has a top brass and key escutcheon, unfortunately the key doesn’t work and is just for decoration. It has a front drawer which works of a pin to the inside.
Open the box to reveal a makers label to the inside “Fisher-Maker-188Strand” we have professionally relined the interior and drawer with handcrafted marble paper.
The box measures 30 x 23 and stands 17cm high.
