Victorian Military Leather Medicine Box.
An exquisite example of a Victorian Military Leather Medicine Box dating back to c.1860. The box features the initials “W.D.B” to the top of the box, it has a makers label underneath the key and to the back of the inside lid that reads “A.Barrett & Sons 63 & 64 Piccadilly London”. The strap has broken over time. Open the box to reveal a black leather interior with eight sections containing eight glass medicine bottles some containing the original content and original labels.
It has a brass patent padlock which unfortunately doesn’t work.
A truly super piece of history, Superb quality and condition measuring 28.5 x 15 and stands 15cm high
