Victorian Coromandel Ladies Writing Box.
A splendid and unusual Victorian Coromandel ladies writing box dating back to c.1860. The box is in a beautiful piece of Coromandel with a brass engraved top escutcheon that reads “Sue Clark” and a brass key escutcheon featuring a working lock and key.
Open the box to reveal the original velvet writing surface with space behind for stationary. The box also features two leather boxed ink wells with a lidded pen compartment to the centre and several section for small paperwork and stationary to the top and bottom.
Superb quality and condition measuring 27 x 22 and stands 9cm high.
