An exceptional example of a Georgian Kingwood and Tunbridge ware box dating back to c.1820. The box features a van dyke style specimen wood inlaid border edged in stick ware with a stick ware border to the front sides and back with a decorative mosaic inlaid panel to the centre .
The box sits on four wooden feet with bone handles to the sides and a bone handle to the top of box . The box houses a 19th century satin interior, we have relined the base with handcrafted marble paper.
It measures 25 x 16 and stands 7.5 cm high.
