Anglo Chinese Solid Rosewood  Jewellery Cabinet.

A rare Anglo  Chinese Solid Rosewood jewellery/collectors cabinet dating back to c.1850 with a Gothic english/late regency style.

The  collectors cabinet is completely original with it’s original finish and original working lock and  key. The of the box slides forward to reveal a top compartment. Open the doors to reveal several small drawers and two large drawers all the drawers have been relined with handcrafted marble paper, the interior is also solid mahogany. There is latch to the inside that locks the front. The cabinet measures 30 x 20 and stands 24 cm high.

A stunning little  colonial rarity, would have been made for an English family living in HongKong/Shanghai.
