William IV Rosewood Lap Desk.

A superb example of a William IV lap desk in a superb piece of rosewood dating back to c.1835. The lap desk features a mother of pearl front and key escutcheon, complete with a working lock and key.

Open the box to reveal a red re- leathered writing slope with space for paperwork to the underneath, a  lidded pen compartment, a small lidded nib section  ,one nib slope and one small section, a pencil slope and two empty sections for inkwells.

Superb quality and condition measuring 36 by 26cm and stands 9.5cm high.
