William IV Maple and Rosewood Marquetry Writing Slope.
An exceptional William IV Maple and Rosewood Marquetry box with a beautiful pattern , dating back to c.1830. The writing box features a mother of pearl top and key escutcheon with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
Open the box to reveal cedar lined inside with a green releatherd writing surface with space to the underneath for paperwork and more space to the back of the inside lid, a long lidded pen , a nib slope and two inkwell sections with two inkwells one with a Victorian crown to the top and one with a silver plated top.
The box measures 41 x 24 and stands 13cm high.
