Victorian Rosewood Writing Box With Beautiful Inlay.
A truly Exceptional example of a Victorian rosewood writing box dating back to c.1840. The box features a beautifully detailed inlaid brass, copper and abalone, mother of pearl design to the top and front of the box with brass wiggle work.
The box is complete with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
Open the box to reveal a coromandel interior with a red leather writing surface, original pen slope with section underneath, a nib slope, inkwell section with glass inkwell. Open the back of the inside lid to see space for paperwork. There is also space underneath the writing slope for more 30
