Victorian Brassbound Walnut Writing Slope.
A exquisite example of a Victorian Brassbound and brass inlaid walnut writing slope dating back to c.1870.
The box has a brass engraved top with the Indians “ff” engraved and a brass key escutcheon unfortunately the key doesn’t work the lock.
Open the box to reveal an ebony interior, a black releathered writing surface, nib slope, pen slope with section underneath and one small section with a silver plated inkwell. There is space to the back of the inside lid for paper work and two secret drawers underneath the writing surface.
Superb condition and quality measuring 35 x 24 and stands 17cm high.
