Victorian Brassbound Walnut Writing Slope.
A exquisite example of a Victorian Brassbound and brass inlaid walnut writing slope dating back to c.1860.The box has a brass top and key escutcheon complete with a working lock and tasselled key.
Open the box to reveal a ebony interior, a black leather writing surface, nib slope, pen slope with section underneath and two small sections for inkwells. There is space to the back of the lid for paper work and two secret drawers underneath the writing surface.
Superb condition and quality measuring 40×25 and stands 16.5cm high.
