Georgian Mahogany fan inlaid Tea Caddy.
A fine example of a Georgian Mahogany Twin Section Tea caddy dating back to c.1810.
TheTea caddy is inlaid with Harewood and boxwood fans to the top and front and it’s edged in boxwood. It sits on four bracket feet. There is a mother of pear key escutcheon, unfortunately the key doesn’t work the lock and it’s just for decoration.
The tea caddy houses two mahogany lids edged in boxwood with bone handles to the centre. We have relined the back of the inside lid with marble paper.
The box measures 23.4 x 12 and stands 13 cm high.
