William IV Burr Yew Sewing Box.
A superb and a little bit unusual William IV Burr Yew sewing box dating back to c.1830. The box is cross banded and edged in king wood, it has raised ebony borders and king wood, raised ebony and raised brass borders with mother of pearl to the centre of the box. It has brass key escutcheon with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
Open the box box to reveal a fully fitted sewing interior featuring the original blue silk tray and interior. The box has to lidded compartments and several different sections featuring the original sewing implements such as mother of pearl sewing reels,sewing winders ,thimbles and waxers.
Superb original condition and quality measuring 28 x 20 and stands 13cm high.
