Victorian Walnut Portsea Tea Caddy Featuring Tunbridge Ware Inlay.
A beautiful example of a Victorian Portsea twin lidded tea caddy in walnut with wonderful Tunbridge ware inlaid borders around the top, front and sides of the box and superb inlaid flags to the front. The box sits on four wooden feet and dates back to c.1870.
Open the box to reveal twin chunky walnut lids with Tunbridge ware inlaid borders and little mother of pearl floral handles. We have relined the back of the inside lid with handcrafted marble paper.
The box is complete with a fully working lock and key.
It measures 24 x 17 and stands 13cm high.
