Victorian Walnut Jewellery Box with Beautiful Tunbridge Ware Inlay.
A striking example of a Victorian Walnut jewellery box dating back to c.1850, the box is edged with cross banded Tulipwood, with ebony borders and inlaid with a beautiful Tunbridge ware pattern. It has a mother of pearl and inlaid tunbridge ware and Harewood top and key escutcheon.
The tasselled key is just for decoration and doesn’t work the lock.
We have relined with interior with a beautiful hand crafted marble paper.
Superb quality and condition measuring 28 x 20 and stands 15cm high.
