A magnificent Victorian Sewing Box in Papier-mâché dating back to c.1850.
The sewing box features a beautifully detailed mother of pearl floral and foliage design to the top, front, back and sides with a View Of Windsor Castle to the top centre of the lid. The box sits on four feet and is complete with a working lock and key. Open the box to reveal the original velvet tray and mirror to the back of the inside lid. The fitted tray come with mostly original sewing implements such as scissors, mother of pearl Cotten reels, a perfume bottle, button holes and thimbles with buttons, needle cases and balls of string to the bottom section.
An absolutely incredible piece of history in super original condition.
