A stunning and unusual  example of  a Victorian  Burr Walnut Jewellery box dating back to c.1860. The box is the largest one we have seen in this style.

The box features beautifully decorative tunbridge ware inlaid bands and stunning mother of pearl and abalone bands running down the top and front of the box. The bands surround a beautiful mother of pearl and abalone top and key escutcheon with a working lock and tasselled key.

Open the box to reveal the original tray,we have professionally relined the box in handcrafted marble paper.

Superb quality and so diction measuring  36 x 26 and stands 16cm high.
