Superb Georgian Gentleman’s Military Box in Solid Amboyna.
A fantastic solid Amboyna brassbound and brass inlaid campaign military gentleman’s box with handles to the sides. Dating back to c.1820. The box is complete with a working lock and key. Open the box to reveal a brass slip to the inside with a brass bracket to hold the box up right. To close the box pinch the brass bracket together.
We have relined the interior with a beautiful duck egg blue handcrafted marble paper.
One of the best gentleman’s boxes we have ever had a true beauty in superb quality and condition.
The box measures 31 x 25 and stands 14cm high.
