Georgian  Sarcophagus Mahogany Jewellery Box.

A Rare and cute sized Georgian mahogany jewellery box dating back to c.1820.

Usually the small sarcophagus shaped boxes come in the form of twin lidded tea caddies, but this one is a little rarity. It sits on four decorative brass feet, with a mother of pearl key escutcheon and a  fully working lock and tasselled key. Open the box to reveal the original tray. We have relined the interior with handcrafted paper.

A perfect small sized jewellery box in superb condition measuring 17 x 13 and stands 16cm high.
