Georgian Rosewood Inlaid Jewellery Box.

A beautiful classic style Georgian Rosewood Jewellery box in very fine condition.

The box dates back to c.1820 , featuring superb boxwood and Harewood contrasting inlaid borders with a Harewood centre. It has wooden ring handles to the sides and a front drawer that runs the length of the box the tasselled key works both locks and features bone kite style escutcheons.

The interior has been relined with a beautiful handcrafted marble effect paper that suits the colouring of the wood. Original contrasting lipping to the interior to complement the edge trim to the box exterior

Superb quality and condition measuring 27 x 22 and stands 14 cm high.
