Georgian Mahogany Sarcophagus Jewellery Box.
A beautiful example of a Georgian mahogany jewellery box. The box is sarcophagus in shape it features a brass basket of fruit handle to the top with a mother of pearl key escutcheon and a fully working lock and key.
The box dates back to c.1880 and sits on four wooden feet.
Open the box to reveal the original tray. We have relined the interior with a red handcrafted marble paper.
Superb quality and condition measuring 27 x 18 and stands 16cm high.
