19th Century Brazilian Rosewood Vanity Box.
A superb 19th Century Brazilian Rosewood vanity box dating back to c.1880.
The box features a mother of pearl top and key escutcheon with a patent lock. The key is just for decoration and doesn’t work the lock.
The box houses a wonderfully fitted interior.
It houses a silver plated cut glass dish,four silver plated bottles And two cut glass bottles, the tray features five bone handled tools such as a button hole and nail file. Lift out the tray to reveal a section to the underneath.
There is a fully fitted jewellery tray to the side, to locate it pull the pin out which is inside the box on the right hand side.
The box measures 29 x 22 stands 18 cm high.
A truly wonderful piece of history.
