18th Century Brass and Mother of Pearl mounted Tortoiseshell box.

A exceptional and beautiful example of a 18th Century brass and mother of pearl mounted tortoiseshell box, dating back to c.1770. The box features decorative brass and mother of pearl mounts to the top (with brass handle), and key escutcheon; and striking mountings to the corners on the top of the box and sides. The box is complete with a working lock and key.

The box houses a decent amount of storage space for treasures with a fitted tray. The interior has been professionally relined with hand crafted marble paper.

The box is superb quality and condition, however has a few small repairs to the back and it measures: 28.5cm in length, 20.5cm in depth and stands 14 cm in height.
